M-409SG Helmet Assembly includes a leather shroud, flame-resistant helmet cover, and Speedglas Weld Shield.

It offers a larger viewing area than other welding shields. The 3M Versaflo Respiratory Helmet Assembly M-409SG, M Series Welding Shield includes a leather shroud and flame resistant helmet cover and is designed to help protect the user from certain airborne contaminants, and certain head, eye, face, and welding hazards.

It has a lower weight and larger viewing area than other welding helmets and is suitable for most operations commonly associated with plasma cutting, grinding, MIG, TIG, and GMAW welding. The durable leather shroud offers additional protection against welding arcs. It can be combined with the 3M Versaflo TR-600 PAPR or 3M Speedglas Adflo PAPR and cartridges to build a complete welding system.
